An updated individual grade sheet was sent to everyone on Sunday, July 27th. One was returned with the message: IS NOT ACCEPTING MAIL FROM THIS SENDER. I think this is probably a filter of some kind that the user has set to screen out spam. If you did not receive your individual grade sheet, you might want to contact me.

Remember there will be an open book, open note Exam over Chapters 4, 5, 6, and 7 on Saturday, August 2.

Some students requested having class earlier next week. I will be there by 11:30 incase you want to start the exam at that time.

After the exam there will be a short presentation and activity on Internet Searching.

Final Project Presentations will be given at 1:00 and class will be over after that.

If you cannot come early, you will be able to take the exam and do the Internet activity after the presentations.

Microsoft Office 2002 or XP – this software package includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

All of the computer labs at the College of Saint Mary have this software so you will need to use the labs to complete assignments if you do not have this exact version of the software.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING HANDOUTS.
The handouts listed here under the Handouts section and on the Assignments pages are in Microsoft Word (.doc) format.

When you click on the links, your browser will do one of three things depending on what browser you are using to view the web pages:

1. With Internet Explorer,
Depending on what version of Internet Explorer you are using, when you click on the link, it may just open the file inside of the browser window. You can then save the file by going to the File menu and choosing Save As. Some versions of Internet Explore will usually open the file in Micorsoft Word. Again then you can then save the file by going to the File menu and choosing Save As.
If all the images don't seem to come in right when you are downloading a file, try right clicking on the link and choose Save Target As. Then choose where you want to save the file on your computer. After you are done, you will need to go out to your computer's hard drive and find the file and open it.

2. With Netscape, usually a dialog box will appear that asks if you want to Open the file or Save the file. You will click on the Option you want. If you choose to Open the file, your computer will automatically start Microsoft Word and open the file inside the program. If you choose to save the file your computer will open the SAVE AS dialog box. Choose the folder where the document should be saved, then click OK or SAVE to save it. After you have saved the file to your computer, you can use Microsoft Word to open it.

3. With American Online, it will open the file inside the brower window. You can then save the file by going to the File menu and choosing Save As.
Just like with Internet Explorer, if all the images don't seem to come in right when you are downloading a file, try right clicking on the link and choose Save Target As. Then choose where you want to save the file on your computer. After you are done, you will need to go out to your computer's hard drive and find the file and open it.
