Over the next two weeks, you'll work on Microsoft Word Tutorials. All 4 Tutorials will be due on October 22nd.
You will not have a Message Board assignment for these next two weeks.
WORD TUTORIALS New
Perspective On Microsoft Word 2003 Course Card Edition *(the Brief Edition). You will need to download the data files for the tutorials. Read the handout, How to Download Data Files.,
As an alternative to downloading the files from the Course Technology site, you can download them from here using the following instructions.
1 - Download the archive file by clicking here. As you download the file, save it to your Windows Desktop. 2 -
Double-click the downloaded file, which is called 20667-5d-Word.exe. This starts the unarchving process. In the Window that appears, click the Unzip button, and the tutorial files will be placed in the
C:\Course Technology\20667-5d folder. 3 - Open My Computer or Windows Explorer, and go to your C: drive. Then, open the folder called Course Technology, and beneath it, the one called 20667-5d. You
will see a folder for each of the tutorials. 4 - For the Word assignments, go into the appropriate folder, and you'll see the necessary tutorial files.
NOTE: If you'll be working on the assignments in the computer lab, I suggest you copy the tutorial folders to a floppy disk for transport. The files should all
fit, but if they don't, you may have to use additional floppies for each separate tutorial.
Read through and complete the following tutorials
- Tutorial 1 Creating a Document Filename: Web Time Contract
- Tutorial 2 Editing and Formatting a Document Filenames: Tree FAQ and Flowering Shrub FAQ
- Tutorial 3 Creating a Multiple-Page Report Filename: New Hope WAN Report
- Tutorial 4 Desktop Publishing and Mail Merge Filenames: Travel Clothes, Cover Letter, and Merged

All tutorial labs assigned in each lab book will be due at the same time. Each tutorial lab is worth 30 points total and points will be deducted for
objectives not completed as covered in the tutorials. Lab tutorials may not be turned in by printing unless they are also turned in digitally.
All Word Tutorial are due on Sunday, October 22nd. When you are finished with all Word Tutorials zip all the files into one file using the same procedure you used to zip
your Windows files.
